BY CAR: From Fortaleza, take the BR-222 until Itapipoca city, after take the BR-482 and CE-178
towards Acaraú. 5KM before Acaraú, turn left towards Cruz. This road by-passes Cruz and
continues towards Jijoca, which is your destination. From Jijoca to Jericoacoara is 25KM through
the dunes. Only those that are familiar with this route, should take it alone and in a car 4 wheel
drive with traction. You can find a guide in Jijoca to advise you on the best route to Jeri.
BY BUS: In Fortaleza, the Redenção bus company provide several daily trips directly to Jericoacoara.
These buses are very comfortable, with air conditioning. In Jijoca, you will change for an other bus
